Nutty Milk

This nutritious milk recipe is great to beat the cold winters to keep you warm.


  • 1 litre of milk
  • 2 tbsp of poppy seeds
  • 2 tbsp of almonds
  • 4 to 5 deseeded dried dates, chopped
  • 1 tsp of whole black pepper
  • 4 to 5 green cardamom
  • 1 tsp ghee


  • Soak the poppy seeds, almonds, black pepper, and cardamom in warm water for some time. Take all these ingredients in a blender and blend them to make a smooth paste.
  • Heat some gheein a kadhai and roast the paste for a few minutes. Add the milk and dates. Boil the milk over low heat for 15 to 20 minutes.
  • Add the sugar and stir well.
  • Serve hot.
